Henri de Branche

Henri de Branche is the regional Head of Sustainable Solutions in Asia Pacific, where he co-ordinates and integrates JP Morgan’s ESG and climate strategies and advise on ESG-themed product offerings across banking operations.  In particular, he leads the firm’s efforts with regional clients to enhance their ESG performance and position their businesses and align their strategies most favorably for ESG-focused investors and other stakeholders across all major industry verticals. In addition, he oversees the operationalization of J.P. Morgan’s climate commitments in line with the Paris Agreement across the region with the Centre for Carbon Transition and engages with clients in heavy carbon emitting sectors on transition related financing, research and advisory solutions. He also supports the franchise with ESG integration across Private Banking and Wealth Management. ​

Henri is a sustainability professional with 20 years of experience in industry, consulting and financial services based in Asia. He has advised companies, investors and asset managers on ESG risk management, strategies, performance improvement and disclosure in line with good international practices and the evolving local regulatory and market drivers. He has helped over 100 regional clients in various industries improve their sustainability credentials, optimize value and mitigate risk.  ​​

Before joining J.P. Morgan, he was a Partner with ERM, the world’s leading sustainability consulting firm, responsible for Sustainable Finance advisory based in Beijing. He also participated to the establishment and development of the ESG function at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), responsible for integrating ESG in all transactions with clients.
